Pierre - I don't know if Whirlpool has or had any Canadian manufacturing sites, however if those machines were made in the U.S., the washer would have come from either St. Joe Michigan or Clyde Ohio. Clyde is the source of Inglis washers today. The dryers have come from Findlay or Marion Ohio. Only the St. Joe Michigan plant is not operational today, however Findlay currently makes dishwashers. Belt drives of similar appearance have also been made by Whirlpool's Brazilian arm Brastemp. They are the source of some belt-drive repair parts today as belt-drive machines there lasted longer in production than in the U.S. |
