When I was a boy in the mid 70ies I saw such a thing in the window of a store close home. It was sold as a new way to get rid of dry cleaning ... a washer-dryer-ironer !!!! :-)

It looked like a drying cabinet with a dishwasher bottom.
Coats, trousers and skirts were hanged inside as in a wardrobe and they were sprayed by an arm in the bottom .....

IMHO :

1st issue - spraying + wool detergents = monster suds :-))

2nd issue - dripping wet coats took centuries to get dry and lost their shape because of water weight

Anyway I haven't ever seen again such a strange thing
Does anyone know more about it ?

Carlo
