Hello,
Could anybody tell me what year these Maytags were made? The washer is a A612 series 04 with a turquoise agitator. The dryer is a DE303 series 07. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Majorhealey:
My guess is 1984 on the washer. I think the dryer is the same vintage as well.

Early 80's on the washer, mid 80's on the dryer.

I've seen many dryers with that control panel, but never a washer, was the gray uncommon on washers?

Maytag washer A612 was perhaps a 1985 model. This was around for a few years, so it could have been purchased between 1985 and 1988. The dryer could be anywhere from the mid to late 1980s to early 1990s.

Have a good one,
James

I agree with James - I saw a dryer like that at Best Buy maybe even as late as 1994 or 1995, and a washer to go with it. Very basic washer - gray standard capacity tub, two water levels, one speed, two cycles, three temps, if memory has it right. I think the agitator was even black.

Methinks that dryer was intended to be matched with the competitors' (non-Maytag) washers.

In my opinion washers were not available with that dryer's style of control panel.

My mother bought her set in Aug of 1987 with the same control pannel, which was at the end of the 1986 model year. The Dryer is a generic BOL for that year. My mom bought hers from Brockman's Maytag where they were all on display. To show how gentle the washer is to clothes demonstraited with a small wather level and ballons that did not pop because of the gentle agitation strokes. I always thought that was kind of impressive. This is also the old H drive trans.

Steve is right. That dryer was Maytag's "go with any washer" dryer and it sold for many years. The washer I remember as being mid 80's.
