I wonder why Norge did away with their original dryer design including the hamper door.Their interior,if I remember correctly, was huge and the blower was so powerful that the clothes were dry in no time.I recently aquired a MW Signature made by them with a spring loaded latch on the left side.I thoroughly cleaned it out and installed it in a friend's house. It is a gas model. He called me the next day after using it the first time and just coluldn't believe the difference in the MW (circa 1977-1979)and the one it replaced(a GE from 1995).It also had "Stop N Dry" where you pull down an arm above the lint filter that dissengages the belt!Unfortunately, the rack made for that was long gone.
