Believe it or not, my (third hand) commercial style neptune is dead because the bearings has gone!
I bought it from a laundromat for 300e .
A new Washer and dryer was a good idea!

I bought a candy set!
The washer is a Candy Grand O 8KG model and the dryer is a Candy Smart 6KG model (I did have enough money to buy the 8KG model :P :P :P)

Here are some pics! Video comming soon!

Hey johnny!
Congrats on the new machine! Nice looking model. I hope you like it! Ah cool you had a commercial neptune! Do you have a pic of it? How does the capacity on the candy compare with the neptune?

Darren

Darren

I had a friend working on a laudromat and he told me that they were selling their old washers. So I bought it!
It was in very but condition!
As my friend told me this neptune has 7,5KG capacity.
I 'll post pics later ;)

It was a Harlequin romance on steroids!

Candy? WOW

I remember seeing that brand in my grandmother's ("Romantzo"=>"Romance" titled) ethnic magazines in the 70's and 80's.

Ah, I like Candy, despite everything some might say!
I expecially like the drum in the Granḍ series (that is the same as Hoover) does it wash well? Isn't it? Do they call it "Shatsu system" there too?

great machine there Jonny, have been selling lots of the Hoover "Visions" with no problems...my appliance buddy from brum has given up using his AEG1800 spin in favour of the 1600 vision...(his new toy)..

Let us know what you like best about it and any snags as well!!

enjoy, Mike

chestermikeuk,

what`s the reason for why your buddy gave up using the 1800rpm spin? I stopped using it as well, because it`s LOUD and unbalanced as hell and that`s also the reason why it never stayed on its place. But mine started creating a terrible noise and so I think that it won`t stay for much longer in my laundry room. The noise got lost after some washes but there must be a failure.

Variomatic

sounds like a typical 'latest generation' AEG. My 2002 AEG Lavamat 72640 only has 1200PRM but it spins unbalanced and is noisy man!
