I AM LOOKING FOR THE LINT FILTERS FOR A 1957,58,59 GENERAL ELECTRIC WASHER. IT WAS COPPER COLOR AND HAD A 1"RIM. I AM ALSO LOOKING FOR THE LINT FILTERS FOR SPEED QUEEN WASHERS FROM THE EARLY 60'S. THEY WERE GRAY AND HAD A METAL LATCH ON THE TOP. THEY HAD SQUARE HOLES ON THE FILTER, AND WERE BULKY. THEY WERE ABOUT 15" ACROSS. IT FUNNELED WATER UP THE SIDES DURING OVERFLOW RINSE. THERE WERE TWO VERSIONS ONE WITH JUST THE FILTER AND ONE WITH FILTER/RINSE DISPENSER. IF ANY ONE KNOWS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT PLEASE EMAIL ME AT winnie44@earthlink.net THANK YOU SINCERLY, KEVIN

 Hey! Goatfarmer, you might have explained what you were talking about, because if this person is possibly new to Computer use, they might not know that using "cap's" is considered "SHOUTING" so therefore, they just need a kind explaination from someone else, besides asking them to please not shout. After-all, remember at one time we were all new at operating Computer's and getting to know what everything meant or means. I didn't know what "lol" or using "caps" meant, until a very good friend of mine taught me a lot of Computer Lingual. I'm not trying to sound like I'm upset with you, just suggesting to you as with others, to be kind to everyone and explain, rather than just asking someone about doing or saying something that they might not know about as of yet.

Actually, tests have shown that mixed-case text is easier to read than all-caps.

Tell us more about your GE Americana DispensAll washer! I wanted one in the *worst* way back in the 1970s, but my parents wouldn't cooperate, LOL! Do you have any pictures of it? The people wanna see!

To DADoES/ Americana Dispensall General Electric washers

 They are very ingenious but they look complicated. There are surge tanks mounted inside the cabinet and they operate in conjunction with the timer and the water flowing through the filter spout. There are syphon tubes that run from the timer to the surge tank and they control the direction of the water moving through the surge tanks using air pressure. Then the timer reverses the direction of the air and water, so it switches the water from the right side to the left side of the filter spout. I believe they direct water through the diverter,(it is what directs the water into the filter and the dispenser tank mounted to the lid). I hope my explanation makes sense. I think the Dispensall washer was the most interesting washer developed by General Electric. It was the last of its kind.
