We recently purchased a house built in 1960 with what we believe is the original dishwasher. It's a KitchenAid KDI-15 Imperial Dual Cycle with a wood-look front panel. Does anyone have a manual for this model? If not, could you at least tell me what the left button says? The text is completely worn off. The right button is 'Full Cycle.'

Thanks!
Rae

Rae, the left button is Rinse & Hold.

By the way, if the house was built in 1960, the dishwasher came later (or there was one before it that died). The 15 series KitchenAids came out in like 1964 or 1965.

The 16 says rinse hold, and appnut says so, so that would be it. I might be able to get a manual. I'll check.

You've gotten some great advice. Here is a scan from a sales brochure. Unfortunately I do not have an owner's manual.

my aunt had a Superba just like that

Her house was built in the late 1950's but the dishwasher was added later. Was still in the house when she died a few years ago. Not sure what the new owners did with it.
