I am wondering if anyone knows how to determine the year of a Hobart Dishwasher. I think it is a 1985.

Model: SR24
ML: 27871
Serial: 85-1012199

Thank you

Bob

This was the original picture of it when I looked at. The dishwasher was a mess with algae, mineral hard water deposits and mould. The dishwasher was installed in a bakery - full of flour and dust.

Right now I have the whole thing apart - I used every type of chemical to get rid of the smell (FYI - bathtub soft scrub cleaner with bleach seems works better then CLR).

I manage to test run it and runs quite well. The drain valve is noisy (I have a new one in my shop).

I am hoping to have it all back together with in a week.

Wow.
Missed this one completely.
That machine was built on the 7 th of April 1998. This series were manufactured for the Canadian Market. The U.S. version was not available until Early 2003.

The first 2 digits denotes which plant that particular machine was built not the year it was built.

I hope this helps.

Thank you...Wow a 1998 model. I thought the dishwasher was much older. I guess I got a good deal for $180 CAD!! I ended replacing the pump impeller and seals. Great machine. The only thing is that I need to figure out what type of dishwashing detergent to use. The dishwasher has an automatic chemical dispensing pump.

I also have a WM-5H serial 99-130-242 ML 107352...needs a new motor. I have a Kitchen Aid 1/2 hp motor in excellent shap. I wonder how old this one is? Too bad for the 240V...although I guess I could disconnect the booster heater and make it 120 Volts.

I liked the first of the WM series. KitchenAid take off. Basic Machine, needed a seperate Booster or Hot water supply. Great Machine for a 4 minute cycle. And you could install it anywhere with the pump drain. Fresh Water for every cycle. Super Glass Washing Machine for a Bar. Perfect results everytime.
