Go for it Guy! This looks like the model that plays 'How Dry I Am' at the end of the cycle.
Can I be so forward as to ask how much they want for it??

This model does not have the built-in xylophone. That model had two working dials and said "DeLuxe"diagnaly on the bottom of the kickplate. It also had a pocket in the rear of the top that held the "Laundrofile" use and care booklet. This along with its matching dryer was built in to the homes in the neighborhood"Summit Farms" where I grew up>The "fake"dial on the right was to ballance the style these were made. The last one to go in Summit Farms was back in 1979 when the Dzbinskis replaced it with a Whirlpool Imperial.

correction

This is the D5- it was the model line just before the D6, & was in two seperate models- a 115 & a 240 volt- the musical thing was dropped in the D8 model- there is another model that looks like this one, & that one was the L104- I think that production run was around 1956 to 1957, & my belief is that it is an economy model - sort of like the L102 I have- The D5 one has a resettable high limit on the heater housing-the D104 should not-

e-mailed me the measurements, and it's just to big for my basement stairs. The smallest measurement is 26 deep. Wish I had a garage!
