Hey Guys I am watching this Bendix top load automatic on Ebay but i am trying to figure out what design it might be. I have asked for an interior shot, but no response as yet. Does anyone have any ideas what design it might be? Would it be the "Philco" design maybe? None of the literature i have shows this machine, so i'm puzzled. The shape of the lid and the service panel might give some clues. Cheers Leon CLICK HERE TO GO TO mayfan69's LINK on eBay |

It certainly is intriguing. I know for a fact the "Power Surge" Bendix were labelled in Australia as "Healing / Thor" as were the Philco flapper machines. It's possible that once Healing / Thor went out of business, then Bendix re-labelled the machines under their own brand. I'll know for sure once the seller responds. Cheers Leon |

I'm guessing a Franklin too - not quite as truly dreadful as their earlier top-loading abominations. I pulled this one out of an Iowa hardware store, it was too far gone and I never could get it house-broke so I sent it packing. Eddy has one similar to this style and age but branded Viking. Maybe it's a recirculating filter-type as well! No matter what it is, the Aus-little piggy has a cute name. |
