My guess of age or date of manufacturing would be anywhere from 1976 to 1978.The newer logo where there is a space between the FRIGIDAIRE logo and GENERAL MOTORS logo was introduced in 1974 but not issued to their washers and dryers until sometime later. The newer lint filter that has the lower handle on it is another dead give away. If this was mine, I would try to get the white window lid to finish it off.Great find!! Congrats!!

That is a nice machine! Looks like it is just spotless to boot. I do hope to see videos of all 3 speeds because I love multispeed machines. Since you mentioned someone having parts for these, does anyone know where I could get a fabric softener dispenser like the one you have? I have to say that I've grown to really appreciate this machine. I wasn't sure how I would like it. Just figured it would be a novelty item at best but it seems to actually do a really nice job on large loads. Having a puppy we go through tons of filthy towels and the 1-18 takes it like a champ. I'm really glad I have one now. Congrats again! It's really beautiful! Jon |

That is one awesome looking machine, and only $60. I think I need to move, I can never find anything like that around here. J |

Interesting older-style fabric softener dispenser that I had on my old rollermatic. Who knew they fit on the 1-18's? Enjoy this machine; I think they're great! If I were King I would pass a law requiring an image of these machines to be painfully branded onto the backsides of all current GM executives in scarlet.

Does anyone have the phone number or address of the appliance store mentioned a while back, that was still selling the old frigidaire replacement parts? |

That looks like the one Steve and I have been working on. We swapped lids from another 1-18 and put one on with a window. very fun machines. |

Thanks Matt! That would be great if you can find the lens. Mine has many small cracks in it, looks like the plastic has "dried" out and become brittle. Maybe from bleach? |

see "goodbye pearsol appliance parts store" thread 20397. The store closed this fall. :( At least I believe this is the one you mean. |
