Does anybody know if the regular Super Surgilator was still used in machines when the Double Duty (winged) Surgilator came out? I didn't know if the double duty replaced the regular Super Surgilator or not.

The long-time Super Surgilator was used in standard capacity Whirlpool machines until belt-drive production ended. The winged Double Duty was for large capacity machines, so both remained in production in tandem.

There was at least one or two large capacity versions of the standard agitator that were simply taller, or overall enlarged, but they didn't continue once the Double Duty came along.
