I am moving into an apartment equiped with a GE Washer and Dryer thus giving up my Whirlpool Gold set. The washer has the flex-care straight vain agitator. Anyone out there using a GE washer or have used a GE washer with this type of agitator? How effective with turn over, etc.? Thanks!!

my brother had one its ok i find it to be slightly more aggressive than the "gentle power" one. the vanes are very small and dont have length or width like others maybe that might add to more capacity. it looks that way well those were my thoughts on using it. hope this helps.

i had a 2003 ge in my apartment, with the flex care staright vane agitator, it is the worst ever! turn over is not so great and it was so agressive on my clothes it ripped alot of them. and i NEVER overload my machines!

Flex Care Agitator

I will keep what you said in mind and hope for the best. I am stuck with these and have no choice. I will do smaller loads (which I do already, i.e. three pairs of jeans) and keep a watch on the machine to make sure things are moving and turning over.

I have a GE in my rented townhouse. If i'm doing tshirts or casual/formal work clothes. I always use the "Gentle Care" cycle with SLOW agitation and FAST spin.

they seem fine.
