Gordon/KenmoreGuy64, you may want to snag this, as it is the PERFECT match to your Coppertone Lady.

Have a good one,
James

"KenmoreGuy64":

I am with "70series" on this one. You know that Coppertone Lady K you have been renovating last year sometime??? Well..... this is the matching dryer to your washer.

And it looks like it's in pretty good shape. Is she worth a trip to Boston to pick up???

Charles and James -

It's neat that you both thought of me on this, and thanks!

I am thinking I have too many machines (duh) but this WOULD be a neat pairing with my '72 washer, affectionately known simply as "Lady" in my house. So, I have contacted the seller and we'll see what happens.

Something funny happened regarding Lady the other day. I was recently asked to re-build a 1979 Electronic Kenmore washer that I'd sold a close friend back in 1995. He got married later that year and had two kids since he got that machine, and after 14 years it was in need of a new pump and a centerpost re-seal. When he came to pickup the machine after I did the work, he saw Lady over in the corner, and he and his buddy - two people of the "washers are utilitarian objects only" mindset, flipped out over Lady and had me demonstrate the panel cover, the light, the triple dispenser, etc. They begged me to let them take her home too (they have two washer connections and only one washer).

He knows me well enough that when I say "No" three times in quick succession, that he should stop asking, but it was fun to see "lay people" find a vintage appliance interesting and desirable. I still hear comments about "that brown washer" from him.

I'll let you know what happens with the dryer. Thanks again guys.
