Does anyone had the directions of changing out a motor on a Maytag washer? And a picture with the directions in a service manuel? Thanks |

Pretty straight forward. Remove front panel (2 Phillip screws on the lower front panel, lift front panel 90 degrees). Tilt washer back to gain access to the motor/pulley/carriage bolts. Remove plastic/metal (dependent on age) motor cover if it still exists. Push motor forward on the sliding carrige and remove both belts. Use correct allen wrench and remove pulley. Remove green ground wire from base. Tag and remove wires from start switch. Remove 4 nuts that hold them motor and carriage to the base. Remove motor. Reinstall in reverse. |
