In the very recent past I have posted threads saying "Am I going nuts?" or "They need to lock me up" because I have been bring home so many washers and so fast, that I think I have lost my mind. Well, I think what I did this past weekend secures all this. Yes I rented a pickup and drove 370 miles (one way) from LA to Phoenix (in the rain) to pick up some laundry equipment. |

So here they are all wrapped up like Christmas presents, loaded in the truck and secured. It's a good thing I wrapped them in plastic because they sat out in the rain all night and were rained on for about half of the drive back to LA. Any guesses in what they are? Hint: if you've been paying attention the last week or so, you should have a good idea. |

Well one of the packages looks like an Easy washer w/spinner. But the other hmmm...could be a Whirlpool or Whirlpool built washer...or it could be a dryer.... |

And they are in VERY good condition!!! I was going to say "wow I have a matched set now..." but I actually have 3 matched sets! This Maytag set, the 1980 Kenmore belt drive washer and matching gas dryer, and the 1994 White-Westinghouse FL set! Now all I have to is run connections (electric & gas) so I can use the dryers too! |

The Maytags are beautiful. Lucky find. But the Easy Spindry is fantastic. It's about the same year as mine. And those are the MOST fun machines to use. They do a great job. And there's nothing wrong with having fun while you're getting your job done. You'll love it. Jerry Gay |

This new Maytag set will definitely be keepers!! Can anyone tell me what year they are?? The washer is a LA806, series 2 and the serial # is 738556 EA. Thank you in advance!! Now I will have to do some "soul searching" because I need to put my "collection" on a diet. I need to cut some fat here as I have WAY too many machines now! And thank you for all your wonderful comments!!! |

Gansky... so far I have actually used the spinner (with laundry) just once, but I like it, it seems to do a great job! Leonard... Yes this is the larger tub and it has 4 water levels too! No it does not have a tub light (darn!), it's too new. I am still trying to figure out the year it was built, but I suspect it's 1977 - 1979. Anyone have any idea on what year it is?? Thanks! Kevin |

The Maytag Date-A-Tron reads that your EA serial numbered unit was produced January 1980. |
