Hi Everyone,

Check this laundromat in Berlin. It has a happy hour everyday, has a wide range of detergents and softeners, holds laundry dinner parties and you can hire it out for functions. Great place to hold an international wash in. Hopefully visiting it in June.

Regards
Rod

Wow, we do have Miele laundromats in Amsterdam but nothing remotely comparable to Freddy's salon. One can even hire the place for parties. And special detergents for boys and girls: Bonanza/Ken/Roy Black or Maja/Cinderella/Barbie. I don't know which is the right one for me :)

That's it, I'm moving to Germany. :-)

Did you catch the last few images in that tour? Wow..

Has/Had a facility known as the "Laundry Bar" just off of the Lincoln Road pedestrian mall. I was there last in 2000, it may no longer be there. Great place! Sip your martini at the bar (no smoking) and watch everybody's underpants going around in the dryers! Ahhh, the smell of gin+clorox...a true Karen Walker kind of place.

There is a laundromat down the road from me called Scrub Pub. They have a couple of large screen tv's and a little bar that serves draft beer, nachos, brats, nothing very fancy. Some friends took me to one when I was college. I will never drink and do laundry at the same time ever again. I forgot where my clothes were, and almost got sick watching the clothes in the dryers.
