VWSR4160GWW that's the model that I purchased... I dont think that it has the ribbed tub. I think its just the flat plastic tub. I didn't see the exact same model in person, I saw the non hydrowave hotpoint. |

It's always exciting to get a new washer, even if it will not be your daily driver. I am also a fan of 'vintage agitation'; not into the rapid, short-stroke variety, no matter how good the rollover. If my beloved, much-maligned Frigidaire TL'er ever gives up the ghost, I'll definitely replace it with a GE Hydrowave. I don't have local access to Speed Queen, and those three brands represent the final frontier for longer, slower-stroke agitation. Let us know how you like the Hydrowave action, and, of course, we want photos, if possible! |

Do all GE washers have the hydrowave wash action regardless of the type of agitator? I am moving into a apartment with a new set of GE's and I believe the washer will have the Flex care agitator. |

GE doesn't offer their machines with the Flexcare and hyrdowave. Only on the Hotpoint models. I can't wait to get it :D |

IF you are only going to use this washer for your "shop rags / towels, etc" WHY spend that much money for a NEW washer?? Why not just buy a used one through Craigs list or the Salvation army or a used appliance store??? I have found some great deals on Craigs list (believe me I know, just look at my collection!! LOL) I recently bought a 2 1/2 year old Frigidair Affinity FL washer ($650 new) for $75 and there is nothing wrong with it!!! Granted this is the exception rather then the rule, but you can still find a great used machine for $50 - $100. |

Old post, but I'm new here. I have a 2014 GE "hydrowave" washer and I replaced the "Gentle Power" agitator with the "FlexCare" one. So far works really well.
Does anyone know if there are other single action agitators that will fit the coupler on the new GE's? I like the SpeedQueen flex vane and the bottom of it looked similar. Just not sure if it will fit. Thanks! |
