Hi all,

My parents first dishwasher was a grey fascia Servis from the 80s, which I assume would have matched the 6000 series Quartz washing machine. It was bought second hand from my Aunt in 1996. I remember it having one dial and a big on/off rocker switch.

We only had it about 2 years. It was in pretty bad condition when we got it, and the rust eventually got the better of it in about 1998.

Unfourtunately I don't have any photos or the model number so it would be great to find out more about this machine and, hopefully see some pictures of models from this series.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Matt

That's the one!

Wow! thanks for the quick response!

This really takes me back :). Our's was very basic, so I'm guessing it would have been the Starlet 4153, unless there was a more basic model.

I remember feeling so technically advanced when we got that, wasn't long after we got this the Carlton dryer came to live inside. No more lugging the washing to the end of the garden to put it in the dryer (which was in the garage) on cold rainy days!

Oh to see that Servis sitting in my Mum's kitchen now, it would match her decor perfectly and would kick the blight on her kitchen which is the non-funtioning Ariston dishwasher out to the scrap pile :)

Thanks again!

Matt
