Hi All! Well, My Programmed GE, like the one Coldspot66 just posted about is in need of a tranny - or will be soon. It is still my only machine and I use it all the time but I'm noticing the tell tale oil drips inside the agitator post, andit also indexes pretty badly - rotates clockwise while it washes. I have a fresh tub seal ready to go but need to find a good Transmission to put in. Anyone have any suggestions? I know that someone was posting on here that they had a few standard capacity ones back last year - are there any left? Please let me know - will be glad to pay for it! Just want to keep my baby running smoothly and prevent oil deposits on my clothes. I also still need a speed shifter solenoid. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Matthew in LA |

The agitator will work on any transmission. The new ones use a different coupler and you can swap those out. I had to get new couplers for both of my agitators, swapped them out, and they work just fine. If you happen to get a tranny with the 20-tooth (I think that's right) spline then no changes necessary. Couplers are not expensive and easy to find. I have some spares here. I don't know the part number but you could probably find out online from a parts vendor. I have a spare transmission but it's for an 18-lb machine so would do you no good. Jon |
