Man these look familiar...

Isn't this the washer where Westinghouse demonstrated the superior sand removal capability of front loaders? I forget the lady's name who did the demonstration, but she was a big spokesperson at the time. She had four women dump a cup of sand into four different washers, three TLs and one FL.

Sound familiar to anyone?

the video of that commercial is right here on this site

they are neat machine - a lady down the street I used to visit when I was a kid had the dryer and still working - the washer had died I guess and was replaced with a newer flat front Westinghoue. That was back in the early '70's
