I recently purchased one of the LG Ventless Washer/Dryer combos with the Steam cycle. It also has forced water circulation that shoots the tub water out of a nozzle on the top of the door gasket. I just had my first service call out as the spray had turned into a drip. Of course, the tech found that the tube feeding the nozzle was clogged with lint/hair etc. I've run the tub clean feature every two weeks and have drained the machine and cleaned the water filter at the same time. I always wipe down the gasket and clean out the nooks and crannies each time I wash and dry to clean all the accumulated lint that has stayed in and aroudn the door gasket. I feel like the water filter has holes that are too large and letting lots of lint through, which will just cause the nozzle to clog again very quickly. Does anyone know if I could safely fill the filter up with some kind of material, such as aquarium filtration material to catch more of the lint going through the filter? I don't mind cleaning it out more often, but I don't want to ruin the water pump by causing more resistance to the water going through the filter. Any suggestions or other solutions to help prevent the spray nozzle from getting clogged from the inside again? Besides the filter at the water pump, I'm not aware of any other filter / lint trap in the machine.
