After scouring the Earth (well actually reading a LOT of archived posts here) I've =FINALLY= found a picture one of my dream machines. We had one of these years ago before we moved, I'm not sure what happened to it, also had the matching 110v dryer, both in Harvest Gold. I'd love to get my hands on another one, but I don't know it's model number or anything. I know it was early 80's maybe late 70's (ours was an 83) and that these were either Hitachi or Sanyo made and also had a blue pulsator. The attached picture is the exact model, it was a "convertible" washer (so was the dryer). If anyone has more info or leads I'd be grateful. The pic came from AW.org, under the user "westytoploader", but I could not find that name in the users list.

Thanks

-Tim

I had this same set in Harvest Gold too. Things were work horses! I used them for years and did tons of laundry in them with no problems at all. Ended up selling them at a yard sale and wish I would have kept them. They were awesome machines and did a great job. Capacity is small on them but if you did laundry every day or so it was easy to keep up.

Good luck with your search!

Westytoploader is around and doing quite well, thank you, although as Kenny mentioned, not at this website------unfortunately.

Hey that's my dream machine too, we had one of these back in 1996 until it died a month or two later. I want this beauty so bad.

i had the Hitachi version of this machine, difference was mine had a full size agitator. The way the machine worked in principal was the same. Earlier versions of the Hitachi would have been exactly the same as the G.E in every way.

Heres a link to one of the videos of my Hitachi version. Have a browse through my other vids too, see if theres anything u are curious about.

Matt
