Sorry if I'm blowing up the message threads lol. But here's another find I thought some would be interested in. A classic Maytag center dial washer in Long Beach California. I'm not sure how far any of you will go to add to your collection, but I thought sharing this wouldn't hurt lol.

I went to look at it this about an hour ago. Yes it's an 806 and the date code is "QB" (built when Dan?)

Condition? it looks to be complete, but it's really rough! He said it's been sitting outside nearly 2 years. The paint is very badly faded and oxidized, it's got a fair amount rust at the rear bottom of the cabinet. The timer does not push/pull but it would turn, all of the words are worn/faded off all the buttons, the blue paint is faded/flaked off the console and the chrome is pitted pretty bad. Mechanically I was not able to plug it in to test anything, but I did reach under and was eventually able to move the belt with considerable effort.

So in my opinion.... I'm sure it could be brought back to life, but it will take a lot more then I'm willing to put into it.
