April is Maytag month!

Local pick-up only! No Shipping!

Shame because properly crated and packed, unit would easily ship via UPS.

If The Above Is True

Kevin you really ought to consider taking this unit as a spare.

If nothing else one would have a donor machine for parts and such at the ready. Considering how diffficult spares are to find for these units, that might not be such a bad thing, especially for $50.

HEY RCD............

YES this is in (well, near) my neck of the woods, but NO, I already have one thanks! LOL

AND... they want more then I paid for mine! Do you have the Maytag date code list? The date code is "SB", what year does that make it? Hmmm, also it has BLACK impellers, mine are GRAY (built in 1978) so this one is OLDER then mine I would dare guess. (And they say it's new.... yea, right!)

Hey Evan! I can pick it up and get it to Phoenix IF you buy it... but you only have a week to decide!

I'm so close...

I have always wanted one of these, and Riverside is just an hour away. Looks perfect for laundering the delicate, wispy things guys in my neighborhood wear in the summer.

Very Tempting

Kevin - You are too great!!! I have to ponder AND working into the equation is YOUR 806...Scarce parts make me apprehensive as I have no room for a collection. One of my three gets bump with the addition of another. The Neptune will be bumped for the/an 806. In a year we will have more room for a collection and work/repair space...

Kevin - I am thinking PART MACHINE for you man!!!

Love the - So that makes it "new" - Save me the Bull..

Mfg in Jan, 1973. Hey Kevin, it could happen! They bought it new and didn't get around to using it... LOL! and I'm going to find my PA900 with matching dryer in the box... BUT it would be an interesting parts kit on the hoof! Besides, you could be like the appliance version of the Waltons. Just add another space at the hose bib! LOL!!! It's not that far off base, tho. Look at Delp with his harem of wringers... ;^)

OMG... HOLY CRAP... GEEEZE... WOW... DAM!!!

Umm, I am stunned!

Apperently I had an error in judgment when made what I thought was a "low offer", not thinking I would ever get it, but I guess it was not low enough!

OMG!!! Now I have TWO!!!!! And I don't know that I really want two.... Hmmm....

You Hit It, You Git It!

*LOL*

Congrats!

Now go and pick-up that Maytag!

You can either keep it as a "parts on the hoof", machine, or clean it up, mark it up and sell it along. Such a small machine would easily ship UPS if propertly packed & crated.

Yer crazy, just crazy!

Keep us posted on what it feels like to use a brand new vintage washer. Hopefully it still comes with that new washer smell!

"A momentry lapse of reason..."

Sorry, I thought Pink Floyd was appropriate... LOL!

Congrats, Kevin. It really was meant to be. If it had been closer, I'd have tried for it. Either for use or for parts, it was a win-win. Now, lets see if that 'new' word was used in vain or not.

Yes Andy, Pink Floyd is very appropriate!!! (and one of my top favorite bands!)

Yes it definitely was a "A momentary lapse of reason", D'OH! I should have really low-balled it and tried maybe $30... Oh well!

I'm going to pick it up early tomorrow morning. Not sure what I want to do with it... I really don't need two, nor do I want to cannibalize it for parts. BUT, I suppose it might be fun to have "dueling A50's" at my next "wash-in", HA!

In my "collection" I don't really want or need duplicates or multiples of the same machine (like other people who shall remain nameless... Gordon... Kidding! LOL). So as something "new" comes in, something else goes out. Well.... that is the way it's SUPPOSED to work anyway! LOL The jury is still out on this "additional" A50, so we'll have to see! On the plus side it's small and doesn't take up much space......

What Kevin? ME, DUPLICATES? NAH....Four of the same model, okay four each of two different models, isn't dupes is it??????????????????

I do make a distinction though - My conglomeration of washers is part collection (no dupes there) and part stored stockpile awaiting re-birth and re-sale. So there..... :-)

GO Kevin

Awesome...Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy. Two tiny little machines can't really be in anyones way. But I am a guy who can justify multiples of ALMOST anything. This is why I am really being slow about a vintage machine...I have many collections of too many things! And soon I will gain space and then WATCH OUT!

Kevin, I am looking forward to pictures! CONGRATULATIONS Maytag Man!

Duplicates

Duplicates are 100% functional future parts machines :) They're also excellent candidates for parts swapping while diagnosing problems. One can never have too many :D
