Don't get me going about timer motors! Depending on who made the motor, you may just be able to find a replacement. I would suggest MidWest Timer (www.midwesttimer.com...) in Benton Harbor, MI. They saved my bacon on the GE combo and the Westy L5 timer is currently there.
Not sure about the solenoid - you may be able to swap a more recent one for the dead one.

I would guess

this timer motor and escapement would work for you. The Bendix were quirky in that some years they used a CW drive timer motor and other years they used a CCW drive motor. But this is a period timer motor and escapement I'd try it for $10 you can't go wrong.

Further Status for 1953 Duomatic!

Still awaiting new timer motor and replacement water valve.
New issue being - tried to add gear oil but oil tends to bubbles back out through input port even though it's low! I know it's low because transmission slips in low gear before it kicks in. Is their a trick to get oil to stay in?
Thanks,
Lou
