I came across this NOS water valve still in the bag with no part number on it. Just a notation saying "Maytag Combo" Opened the bag up and found a water valve assy I've never seen before. It has hot and cold inputs and a large outflow nipple with a separate, smaller nipple off the side. The only numbers I can find on it are '4-39-F',either'2-66' or '12-99' and the Maytag logo in red ink. Could this be for a Maytag combo w/d unit? Does anyone recognize this? RCD |

The elusive Maytag combo parts... Good find for sure. I found a NOS water valve for mine in a store in Phoenix a few years ago so if Kim needs it, he should have first shot. My new one is still in storage, about the only functioning part on my combo was the water valve so I haven't needed it yet. The old valve can be easily rebuilt if it's not cracked, stripped, etc. too. |

I have no idea what this valve is worth and, frankly, I'm not out to make a killing on it. It's only a part, rare maybe but still... As it is, even though it was new in the bag, how do I test it? Here's the story. The odds of me tripping across a combo of my own is... unlikely. SO, all I ask is to cover shipping and if you want to slip something in for the effort, ok. Mostly I look at it as karma. I have something I'll never use but someone else may really need it. Someday I will be REALLY needing something for a machine I may get and somebody out there will look kindly on me. Sharing resources, that's how it should work. If it were a non member, well... that's different. But here, we're kind of all in this club together. I hope that all made sense... Anyway, I don't know who's in any kind of line or anything. So, it's up for grabs. Who ever really needs it/wants it, just e-mail me... RCD |

What is the fourth solenoid? It appears to have some word stamped next to it that ends with an 'X'. Was it maybe for a rinse aid dispenser? |
