Welcome to the group. I always thought I was the only one until I stumbledd across this site, I can honestly say people here are warm, friendly and will willingly swap knowledge of machines you are interested in. It's funny, I think we all have a certain fondness for the machines that were around in our childhood, ie...mine is the Indesits from the 70's that my Aunties had and for the Hotpoint Supermatics my Mum had when I was little. I have only ever owned one Hotpoint machine, it was an electronic 800rpm with a chrome door, don't know the model no, sorry, I can say it was a fab machine, washed well and fast and made fantastic noises. Towards the end of its life the door gave in and it used to throw water across the room when it span! Anyway James, welcome to the best site in the world!! |
