Well I have done a video of the last rinse, fitted a jumper so that the program would skip first 3 rinses so you can see the fill level and some wash action followed by the intermittent spins and the first few seconds of the final spin.

Sorry for the rubbish camera work, you will see some of the output lights changing during the film and the sound of the relays. Still having problems with the unit resetting and yet to fit control panel.

Hell dose it take an age to upload a video, or my internet connection is slow.
Hats off to those who put videos on for us to share.

Hi .That was a great video. Great bit of electronic wizardry there!
The Machine is almost identical to mine -Creda 1200 excel-w120vw.(rebadged Hotpoint in 1998.) I have one or two probs with mine though.
On deep rinse option the water drips out from the door seal.
Also it whistles on the tumble sometimes.
Please can you suggest anything to help?
Many thanks .
Regards.
Louis.

Thanks for comments, hope to make more videos when it is working fully.

Pulsator.
Speed, tumble about 50rpm, distribute at 88rpm and spin 1000rpm also a gentle tumble at about 35rpm

Deeprinser.
Drips, first check that there is not a line of grime round the glass where the rubber fits to the glass, clean glass with some cif cream. Is there any dents in the rubber lip may need a new seal.

Whistles, sound like the belt needs tensioning or replacing. Could be the top springs these can squeak sometimes.

Best book to read up is the HAYNES for HOME DIY

Hotpoint95622,

Very nice!!! What type of controller are you using? I see you have relays. I like your machine a lot!! Mine is not that far along. I have run into a snag. I need a custom-made seal for the cylinder assembly on my machine.

Hi Lee.
Thanks for your reply.
The leak from the door seal has been an ongoing problem since I first bought the machine.
The glass bowl is immaculatey clean and the seal looks like new ! I think its because the seal is'nt suitable to cope with a higher water level.(half way up the door on deep rinse option)
The wash and normal rinse levels are below the door ( which I personally dont like)
Thanks for the tip about the whistle sound. I think its the belt.

Good luck with your new project .
p.s. -Im also a fan of 70s Hotpoint liberators. ( purple dial and buttons) I would love to get my hands on a Hotpoint top loader from the 70s. Fat chance !
Oh and an Indesit L5 (top contols)
Kindest regards.
Lou.

Did you try applying petroleum jelly around where the door meets the seal? It works for my Primus machine.
