Phone call from my old site, "Hoover twin tub looks nice", mad dash from home

and there it was a 3174 in excellent visual condition, no outlet hose though.

Elderly lady brought it in said she had it for fourty years given to her by her mother.

I ll check it out tomorrow

Yes I know you have heard this a million times, but i have no room.............the electra tumble dryer is on the gang plank already because of the keymatic and the A3308....................................

MARK

I forgot to say thanks for the spin button for my A3110, it matches perfectly, so many thanks for that, as you can imagine Keymatic has ruled my life of late,i still havent finished the remaining parts of the vids.

Thats a pretty kool looking twin-tub. What vintage is that? The badge is really nice and the machine looks well cared for.

As far as i know this was the first twin tub offered by Hoover in the UK, i think it was introduced in 1959

Fanatastic Gary! Congratulations!

I love the Blue of the early Hoover twin tubs.

Looks in amazing condition. It has been cherished and looked after which is lovely to see.

What is going on lately with all the finds!

What Electra dryer do you have? Must have missed that one.

Ps. Glad to hear the A3110 button matches.

Just to clarify Gary is that twinny up for grabs?

I may know someone who may want it.

Mathew was up this weekend - love the prezzie you sent up. Now proudly displayed in the curiosity shop/kitchen lol.

Dated it from the 70's so it goes with the Liberator lol.

Thanks again.

R

Hello Rob

Glad you like it, i got two of them from work so you are welcome.
I also found another Hotpoint mains plug which you can have

Did Mathew mention the complete front panel (somewhat discoloured like the logic white panels) from a microtonic 9550 i think, very plain looking but i got the circuit boards aswell

BLOODY HELL FIRE!

I bet you are wishing that people would stop having clearouts!

How on earth could someone not realise that that machine does not warrant being taken to the tip!!!

It looks pristine and in fact your piccy has just taken pride of place as THE piccy of the Hoovermatic 3174 in my library.

Another truly wonderful find Gary - hats off to you and the guys at the tips down down in Cornwall.

Paul

Sorry, but when something comes along like this...

...you make room. My thingie is vacuums, and like I need another one...but today a vintage turquoise Regina Wet/Dry vac with all the attachments made itself known. I'll make room, that's for sure! Somehow, someway...

You washer guys are lucky....you can get rid of your bed, put in a row of washers, and unroll a sleeping bag over the tops. Us vacuum guys have those uprights that are like a bed of nails. If I could sleep with all the noise, the billowing bags might be comfy though...

Congrats on the twin tub! Indeed, it's beautiful and now in the hands of someone who cares!

John
