well mainly top loaders...and just wondering about a full normal cycle....but funny how some machines have extended wash minutes....i have a maytag stacked digital...normal includes 10min wash..4min spin...2min rinse...4min final spin plus fill times total about 26 to 28 minutes.....but i can increase the first wash time up to 19 minutes..to me thats a long wash....if i select "spin only" i can select up to 8 minutes total....just wish some of the dial machines offered longer wash times usually i had to stop the machine and turn the dial back around to extend the wash...and if the last spin was longer i would have less water in the clothes better for drying...guys who design these machines don't take into effect of actual machine performance just as some agitators do a great job of roll-over while others let the clothes just sit there...thats the only reason i never use to like maytags cause you could not see what was happening inside and few models out there had a window...i just prefered machines that washed with the lid open...i could sit there all day long watching the action....i know i'm mental...lol

Around here, you're considered "mental" if you DON'T have the urge to sit and watch the action all day long. BTW, it's ridiculously easy to watch a wash load in Maytag. Just stick a suitable object between the lid and lid switch. When I was a kid, a quarter and a penny did the trick for many years ;) |
