Hello out there in washerland! I am currently in the process of re-configuering my laundry room to accomodate TWO washers and a dryer. Right now, it is the "norm" washer/dryer.
Fortunate, i was to have acquired the assistance of our lead maintenance engineer where i work to help me with the project. Actually, an AW.member would have been glad to help; but had little or no experience with PVC piping and plumbing that is used in my manufactured/mobile home.So i could appreciate his not wanting to proceed; though I'M sure he would have done a great job, as he did for himself earlier in the year.
The snafu (glitch) occured before my co-workers' arrival. I removed the hatch cover for the crawl-space under my home to expedite things should he want to check for access to plumbing/gas lines, etc. Imagine my surprise to find a leak under the water heater area! And what a RELIEF to know i would have experienced help there who would know just what to do!!
Turned out it was dischage escaping from the PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE,to which Alex (DA MAN)reccomended immediate replacement of. So off to HD we went for the part.
Once again, i was blessed with an ANGEL on my shoulder; as he took the time to install the valve for me. If all goes as planned, the project will be done on Saturday, as there are a number of parts to be be obtained to make it happen.
Funny thing here,as usual it is always interesting to mention our "interests/hobby" to different ones; but also incredible the distance and effort we will go to achieve it. ...

It could be Imperial material, depending on what washers and dryer are involved.

Glad you found the leak before it got serious,
Dave
