Hi All, Just a reminder that if you are planning on attending the convention we need to hear from you and soon! We have registrations already from many of you but I know from reading several postings that many more of you are planning on attending. If you could please get your form and check sent in by next Tuesday we would really appreciate it. We need to get numbers to the caterer and the restaurant. Jon will also need time to get the neat shirts done for us. I am mailing out confirmations and the "surprise ticket" tomorrow to all those who have sent in their registrations so be watching for yours in the mail. This is going to be so much fun I can hardly wait!! Looking forward to seeing many of you in just four short weeks. Thanks for your help and cooperation. Terry

I wanna go..I just don't know if I can get that time off, it just may turn out to be a last minute thing,,here today and on the road the next day to Omaha, or the plane, darn it...

Geeze, Pete.....

...I could have bought that Food-A-Rama and you could have just brought it down with you -- I'd have bought you lunch for going through the trouble, LOL!

I admit I'm toying with the idea of going -- if a neophyte wanna-be who-you've-never-met wouldn't be too much of a pain. It'd be great to meet the folks from here and see all the cool units :-)

John

Then you should go..you're a lot closer than me. I mapquested it at 1865 mile to drive so I'd be 2 nights on the road. I love driving, drive at least that much home every other year back to S.Ont/Detroit area just to get away and see things enroute of interest.

It's 443 miles for me....not a bad drive at all!

Well, if you're not going to be there with my 'rama what's the point? Hehe... Seriously, I like road trips and weekend getaways too -- and this would definetly be fun.

I dunno about enjoying Detroit -- at least the driving. Mind you, I drove a long Ryder truck with my minivan on a trailer, down I-10 in Houston TX during rush hour. That was a walk in the park compared to the driving I see in Michigan. Whew! I was in Douglas MI last weekend, and thought for sure I'd meet my Maker...

However, that's about the ONLY complaint I have about the state! :-)

Oooh thanks for the reminder Terry, I almost forgot to send in my form. I just filled out the form and put it in today's mail.

Under the section of "let us know if you are bringing any washers", I forgot to add that I will try to bring two of them down.

Thanks again Greg and Terry for all your hard work in putting together this convention.

Thanks to everyone, we really appreciate your cooperation. Robert it has been such a pleasure to be able to help with the convention and I know that we are all going to have a great time. Looking forward to seeing one and all!! Pete, that would really be a long drive for you. Hope that you can get a plane ticket and join us.

Where is everyone staying?

What hotel is everyone staying at?

Also, will there be carpools going to the convention from the hotel? Renting a car is a pain in the butt so I'd rather ride and chip in for gas.

Trip cost

"I'll be ready to go. I know I'm hanging on till the last minute but I need to be able to afford it.

So here's hopin."

That's exactly my problem. This has to be done on an absolute "shoestring" budget and I won't be sure until the last minute.

Any Motel 6, or other CHEAP hotels nearby in Omaha?
