I just got one of the new Danby countertop dishwashers off of Craigslist yesterday, thought I'd share some pics. Pretty neat little unit, this is my 1st dishwasher of any kind.

...I had a Lemair 'Super Pony XL' when I flatted in Sydney. Was a great thing for one person, though I could do a dinner part for 6 in 2 hits and wash the pots by hand....

I love the vision door in yours though...

I have an older model found thrifting in NYC. Only the hose connector was damaged. Ordered a new one from the company. The machine cleans super well.

Can you show a close-up of the control panel?

I had the older model, like Gary has

Mine was used also for demo or something because the packing tape was still everywhere and the hoses/manual was still in its packing but the inside was kinda wet when I got it, that sucker ran Impressively for 3 years twice a day.Now I have a haier half-size D/W I got in 2003 and never a problem(knock wood).I still use the Danby faucet adapter for The Haier,It wors better.

Rich and I both have countertop machines, different models, mine has the detergent dispenser and rinse aid in the door, far easier than putting it into the back of the machine for certain. Mine also has a removable rack so you can wash larger items in the main basket, the plate tines come out, and it leaves you with a flat rack to wash cups, pots bowls or what have you.
If any one has a dead danby and wants to part out the rack, Rich is in need of one...

Have had one of these at work, in the office, for a few years now. Also was a craigslist find for us. We only have cold water available here unless we cut into the building's lines, which we don't really want to do. Every wash we do (1 or 2 a day) is cold water, but on SaniWash and the dishes come out squeaky clean and too hot to touch.

Mostly use it for coffee mugs, parts of the coffeemaker, soup bowls, cutlery, and small plates. Occasionally a computer part gets a go-round.

Overall, I am very impressed with the unit.

Fabulous and quick degreaser for your thrifting scores!
Not bad for ordinary tableware as well!

Rinse Agent?

macboy91si's profile picture
Anyone know how much RA you're supposed to use. Is it per load or does it just hold it for multiple runs. I kept filling up the door container and it eventually started running out the lower edge of the door, which is odd, because the machine doesn't leak water. I suspect I way overfilled the rinse dispenser. The instructions for the RA dispenser are awful. The guide says that it holds 4.2fl oz. That's a whole bottle of small Jet Dry.

Rinse Agent...

Tim

The rinse agent dispenser does measure and dispense the exact dose for a wash.

You don't need to fill it every day, but check the level constantly.

I don't know if your machine has a "refill dispenser" LED, but many models has it.

You'll be amazed. The small RA bottle will last for a looooooooooooooooooong time.

Leaking RA dispenser

Found the issue with that, it was just a loose mounting nut. I've noticed also that if you over-fill it can leak from the vent hole in the top of the actual container. I have included a pic.
