Dishes and more!

Now you know that that machine will wash anything you throw at it and in it! Make sure that the washarm support is in good shape. I think more people tossed these machines because the support went bad and were told the pumps were bad and didnt want to fix them. I recently tore one apart because the tank was bad, but always save the complete door so all the electro-mechanicals are still intact.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Steve

glad you found a kitchenaid

you like, i know you said you weren't really happy with the kd-17 model you had tried earlier. this one will give you the upper spray arm and has an excellent pump! i have heard it said many times that the 18-20 series were the best kitchenaid ever made! i prefer the 15-17 models myself but hey, who cares about that!

parts are def available thru hobart or appliance parts stores. i also recently bought from a member a big box full of kitchenaid literature! service manuals, parts lists, and many "technical service" bulletins from the 50's on up thru the 80's. it was an appliance store's catalog of hobart literature. i do have the service manual for the kdp-20 if you ever need it. i can run a copy for you.

i also have a sales brochure on the 20 series machines and the patricia is outlined in it completely listing all features and cycles etc. i can send you a copy if you would like it!

have fun the kitchenaid way!

I have to have a vintage KitchenAid portable to replace my Whirlpool when it kicks the bucket. They look so classy!

vintage kitchenaids are the best!!!!!!!!

nothing is better! and yes, "everythingold" should have a bottom panel for you and a nice selection of vintage kitchenaids for you "autowasherfreak". when i left he still had many to choose from!

"oldappliancenut" glad you love the new kitchenaid. i'm sure you will have no trouble selling the kds-17a you have, if no one else buys it i will still take it eventually but i would list it here first, maybe "autowasherfreak" is interested!

Had I only known. Now I'll have to save up so I can get it later.

Why are the good ones always elusive?
