Hi, can anyone give me some help finding Hotpoint photos or literiture on the laundry ranges made in the 70's to mid 90's? It would be a great help as I am a big Hotpoint enthusiast. I grew up with some 90's machine if you take a look at my first thread. Thanks, James

Hi James.

Below is a copy of my info sheet for Hotpoint Automatic's from 1963 (with the introduction of their first automatic - the 1500) through to 1979 and the end of the Liberator's.

If anyone notices any inaccuracies - please let me know.
Also if anyone is able to fill any of the missing information, shown by areas of white, then again please let me know.

Will post 1979 to 1982/83 tomorrow.

Enjoy!

Cheers
paul

Thanks

Hi Paul, thanks much. Your sheet will be of great use when i come across machines. I'm currently waiting on my first machine... It may be soon but it could be in the summer. I like any Hotties from the 70's to mid 90's. My mum had a 9538 and my aunt had a WD22. Both machines i was very fond of but i haven't seen any pictures or info on these yet. I like Washer Dryer a lot probably because of the WD22! :) I miss it lots. Not many people in Donegal have Washer Dryers either. :(

Hi James...

this will take you through to circa 1982 to 1985 and the end of the old 18-series bodystyle, that was heralded by the exclusive models to Comet and Currys.

Good luck with the acquisition - hope it all goes well.

Cheers
Paul
p.s thanks to everyone, who volunteered information to help me make the info sheets. Was and is much appreciated.

p.s model 1827 was called 'Super Electronic' and not 'Liberator de Luxe' as is hown on my spreadsheet.
Also, it was probably an 800/400 machine - not 800/500 as is shown.

Paul

Great info!

Thanks again Paul. I love the 18 series. I think they are very stylish compared to the New Gen machines after them. I'm trying to make up pictorial based info on machines just like you are making data sheets on them. Any info or pictures of early/mid 90's machines? I'd just love to get hands on a 18 series but i'd say there wouldn't be many about in Ireland. But, i'd be equally as happy with something a bit later than them.

Thats a nice machine. I think it was the predecessor to the 9538.

Hi again James.

Below is the link to the thread about mine and Rob's 95620 and its restoration.

This machine was the first major restoration we did with a machine and was the second vintage washer we bought.

Th thread also contains links to the vids on Youtube of it.

enjoy!

Hi Rob.

Your Aquarius 95620 looks fab. I love machines with a chrome door. Its a pity they dont make them like that any more.

Regards

Paul
