Alo fello appliance geeks! I recently purchased a Speed Queen neon sign. About 4 foot wide, porcelain, in blue (wings and ladies head) orange (ladies head background) and white (letters). I think this is a 40's style logo? It's just like the 6" wide curved metal logo that's was on the side of the old washers that had the mangle on top. (Funny thing though, those old washing machine logos, her head was looking to the left, on this old sign, she's looking to the right!) The neon is missing so I'm going to get it re-neon-ized. Here's my question- anyone ever seen an old sign like this? I'm looking for help with what color of neon to use, and what the original neon design was. If this link works, you can see her here. THANKS! Mike in Seattle

see if this works on you're link
I can't quite see the sign up close enough but it looks Speed Queen may have been the only portion neon lit.Guessing in white, there may have been a neon border in blue outlining the edges of the sign, can you see any holes or where they may have been clips to hold it there. Regardless a blue border in neon wouuld look good with the white lettering lit up. Thing with neon is that the color of the tube unlit does not necessarily match the lit up color, depends on which of the two gasses and the multitude of interior glass powders they have to mix to get a certain lit up color. Is the step up transformer still in the sign. You're lucky though with neon making a comeback shouldn't be too hard to find a neon shop
