Too modern for me, I hate that single motor inverter crap... Did the older Milnors use 2 motors?

Yes they did

and several models used 3 they were the best!

Used two part motors, at least the W1065/W1070 series did.

This was confirmed by MieleUSA parts department earlier this week when one rang for information.
