As you may know,the Hotpoint WM53 sadly died.So we got a Hotpoint WML540 G (graphite).Well, here is how it has got on so far:
Well the biggest advantage has got to be the faster spin.The old Hotpoint had 1200, this has 1400rpm.There is a big difference! Also,the drum is a bit bigger so we can cram more in (lol) or reduce creasing. I also like the fact that it has a variety of different options and programmes.We have used atleast half of these programs. The washing performance is great. I also love the loud bang of the door lock when it starts.it is so cool.The woolens wash is good but you cant wash a woolen blanket or anything because it doesnt use enough water but is excellent for small loads.
Now,the bad stuff:
The rinsing performance is not very good.Even our old hottie rinsed better.If you use a proper measured amount it is great but if you dump loads in,an extra rinse is reccomended! Also,the amount of times i have had to push it back in is amazing!I dont know if it is because if it is laminate however our old one didnt move at all! it has given me one error code when we were washing towels.i dont know why though.
Overall it is a fantastic machine.really pleased with it.Hotpoint have picked up a bit i think!
