Hmmm, what makes me think this is one of our members selling this.....

I remember the one's that fit the solid-tub "jetcone" agitator, but I don't think I ever saw one for a 1-18. Looks somewhat different especially the little dome shaped cup.

Our thinking is somewhat alike! IMHO, this person knows too much to not be a member!!!

Don't even own 1-18...and I agree w/ you Steve

perhaps they are hoping for similar bidding frenzy like that Frig sold from Boundbrook, NJ ($1220+ ? incredible!). I don't own a 1-18 but hope to some day but wouldn't go ga-ga and pay more than say $100 for this attachment. Just my two cents.

Was the winner of the dryer in Bound Brook, New Jersey IIRC; and was bidding on the matching washer as well.

Perhaps he/she is clearing out part of their collection to make room for the dryer? Don't think it went for much, but then again one never knows does one.

Regarding offering the items to members here in the group first, before fleaBay; my thoughts were the same as many. Perhaps the person just wishes to maximise his gains. Though I do think several members would have made him/her a good offer.

Oh well, to each his own.

I think I know who this person is. I don't know that he has an ID here, but some of the east coast members know him, and Robert knows him (if it's who I think it is). I think he turned up for part of the 2001 convention, and I don't remember about the 2002.

Since we now know who

Scott, are you going to "out" this person or just let him/her be? Seems to be listing quite allot of vintage Frigidaire items and sure that if he/she is liquidating part or even a small fraction of his/her collection many here would be happy to offer reasonable prices.

What a name for a secret squrriel "Deep Throat".

Hmmm...I think I have an idea of who it is too, but it made more sense after looking at the eBay ID. "D.H. (Frigidaire)"

I watched the Aberdeen videos and it surprised me that he was one of the "early" collectors (pre-Applianceville).

outcome

So does anybody here know what ultimately happened?

question about GM-Frigidaire washers

When I first heard of a washer in which the agitator goes up-and-down, not back and forth, I was skeptical-I thought the agitator would bump and push the lid open on every up stroke of the agitator!

When I first saw a Frigidare "Jet Action" washer, I was amazed at what a good wash action it seemed to have. And I also noted that it had a very distinctive sound, kind of like a machine gun!
