Too cool!! Neat coppertone color, lots of settings, Triple Dispenser, but here's the best part: the original "Click & Turn" Dual-Action agitator! Not a quiet-cog version! At $25 you can't be beat!

There's also a large, high-end GE dryer (with a HUGE door) for sale in another auction, in Harvest Gold.

Notice how the seller said "10 years old". Didn't realize Kenmore belt-drive washers in Coppertone were being made in 1995, LOL!

Re: Lady-K Washer:

This Lady-K Washer is a 1985 Model. It looks just like my Parent's Model, with their Matching Electric Dryer as well that I've Inherited and are the 1985 Models. Theirs is in the Almond Color, instead of the Coffee Color. I've still got the Set and I've also got my 1982 Lady-K Electronic Touch Control Matching Set, with an Electric Dryer and they are in the Coffee Color, which is what they called it at that time, because it looks like a Coffee Color and they don't have the Edge-Trim Dark Accent Color, like the 2-Tone Coppertone Color has.

Peace and Happy Lady-K Days, Steve

Re: Lady-K:

This Kenmore actually isn't a "TOL" Lady-K, because it doesn't have the "Cycle-Modifier" Settings that my Parent's Washer has that I Inherited. I knew when I was first looking at the Photo's, that something was missing, but I hadn't thought about that, when I was Posting my Thread above. It does have the Optional "ATC" Water Temp Control, as well as the Normal/Manual Water Temp Selections and it actually looks like it only has a Fixed Water Level Selection, instead of a Variable Water Level Selection Control, because it doesn't have the "Reselect/Reset" Setting. It does seem to have all of the other Feature Controls and the Dispensers on the Right side of the Lid, with the Long Plastic Cover on the Dispensers, just like my 1985 {Mechanical} and 1982 {Electronic Touch Control} Model Lady-K's have.

Peace and Happy Lady-K Laundry Days, Steve

(copied this over from the other post of the same items)

What is the with three-pin/prong to three-pin/prong adapter on the power cord?

Ah cool.. this is one of those Kenmores with "redundancy".
Water temperature selection is on the timer AND via a switch. Turn to "Automatic" to select via the timer.

IIRC this was the smaller capacity tub, although based on the pic I appear to be wrong.

I think this machine was built before the cycle modifier switch was introduced. It just has a separate switch for second rinse and another for soak/prewash options. The cycle modifier simply took both options and combined them on one switch. I'd still say it's from the late 70's. Not sure if it's a Lady-K or not. SactoTeddyBear has a good point about the water level selector not being infinitely variable. And notice it doesn't have an x-large setting.

Jaune! Where are you??

You could get this one for parts for not much $$ to rebuild your 78 LK. Do you still have that one?

hi toggle,plug adapter

The dryer is electric and 220, you know how the kenmore washer has the plug designed so it hangs down, I bet that freezer or garage fridge, next to the washer, has the same cord. sooo they probably needed the clearance to plug the freezer in if it also has the cord that lays flat to the wall. kenmore washers, had the cord more like a window unit air conditioner. just a thought alr2903

Repair-Man is right--I tried to tell Sacto about this the last time a similar washer was on fleabay. Cycle Modifier didn't appear until cost cutting measures of the 1979 or 1980. Before that, totally separate knobs for each function. I'm stumped about whether this is ex-large capacity or not given high isn't ex-hi waterlevel. Our 1975 Series 70 had ex-lo, med, & ex-hi. And yes Toggle, when this uni-face look came out and took all the cycle buttons away, I thought, why have the auto water temp setting on the water temp knob--just a worthless gimmick. Again, cost-cutting.

That dryer is the harvest gold version of m y 1978 GE dryer in white--also had the matching washer. The control panel colors are exactly like mine. However, my Perm Press/Poly Knits button didn't have the "Special" designator for drying temp, it said high-heat. So, this could have been a 1979 model. A year or two afer I bought mine, the same button for auto cycle dry specifically stated medium heat. I flet cheated until I got my 1986 LK with variable temp knob--I would have preferred a medium temp setting on the GE, but nooo, they didn't listen to me!!

Fleabay is just like AOL. Add ten years and subtract two inches.

Maytag horizontal plugs

toggleswitch's profile picture
Maytag plugs were horizontal and both a W and Gas D could be plugged into one outlet. I'm surprised no one copied that style.

IIRC they also had a red dot on the plug to mark the hot prongs. This had something to do with using a three-to-two prong adapter (in the US. These are illegal in Canada, non?)
