My sister just got the new Frigidaire FL GLTF2940E - nice machine. I did a observation today. I will list both positives and negative from my point of view. It washes very well and handles a nice big size load. Interior seems to be solid built. The exterior controls seem to be on the cheap side. I also feel it should have a water heater which it doesnt. But the biggest issue I have with this machine is the door boot retaining a lot of water after the cycle. When the machine spins you actually see a lot of water in the boot splashing around. I have a LG combo 3677 and I feel it is a better built machine. But what I do like better about the frigidaire is that the cycles are right to the point. My LG takes to much time balancing to spin. But the frigidaire gets right to the point and goes right into a spin after the drain. And the cycle time is shorter as a result. It uses only a little water. I did notice the final rinse used slightly more water. The frigidaire is a good value for the money. The washer is relatively quiet. The matching dryer on the other hand is rather noisy. And I wasnt to impressed with the dryer. The controls on the dryer were confusing and not very logical. Peter |
