My Hotpoint wd420 showing error f12: No communication between cards:?
Hi people!
I found this machine on my way home from work, looked in good condition and clean.
my sister has been asking me to get her a washer dryer for a while now. so yea i found this and took it home with me.
hotpoint i know - but does seem like a funky machine.
I just cant get it too work.
Its showing.... error f12: No communication between cards.
I have changed both boards (Pcb and one in the bottem) but still showing the same fault. machine will not stop filling and the dryer heater element keeps heating up. no fan, just heat. is there anything else i can do or check. does anybody have a wiring diagram?
any help given would be appreciated.

Cheers Amar

i had the same issue with a hotpoint washer, i posted a thread on here the other month as the washer was doing the exact same thing it was constantly filling with water when the machine had power to it. Never did find the fault as i done the same and replaced the boards i just used it for parts. there are loads of hopoints under 2 years old in the tip by me, looks like it could be common

Cheers guys

I will check the main cable that connects the boards together.
A Friend of mine may be able to get me a rewire kit, (I think thats what they are called)
Is it worth me wasting my time rewiring the machine or shall i just scrap it.
i did waste quite a bit of money on the boards. £20-30.. more it will cost on the wiring - not much but time consuming aswell. What do you Think??

As a Hotpoint fan I would spend the time getting to work, or strip down for the parts and perhaps sell them on ebay.
