Hey guys,
Well after a few probs with the FJ1033 and it having a bad leak, we bought a new graphite zanussi ZWF12070G1.

I have to say i love it! It's beautiful looking, quiet and washes and rinses well!

I've so far used a cotton 40 with superquick which filled to the rim of the drum and stopped for about 2seconds before reversing the tumbles!

One thing that's different from my mums electrolux made AEG from 2004, is it spends less time faffing around distributing the load, and after the first burst it just throws everything back into distribution speed!!

The Rinse water levels fill into the seal and the interm spins are about 900rpm.

Took along time but we got there in the end. A machine i will be happy with. The only thing i can say bad about it is, I'm not too fussed it doesn't have time remaining, but it doesn't have progress indicators, Just Wash, Door & end lights. But i'll get used to it!

Pics and vids to follow!

Darren

Try the quick wash option, you should get a 35-40 min wash with a 'top up' at about 35min and then 2 'proper' deep rinses and at 40c, a total time of about 1:10....

I use that cycle on my Zanussi/westinghouse job and it is great if you 2/3rd to 3/4 fill....

Hey Guys

Rohnic: Yea its pretty similar to mums aeg and i used to use the quick option for 2deep rinses and quick cycle. Have tried it on the zanussi and it's excellent!

hotpointwf220: Will have to find out about that KPP i should think it will as it is electronic board etc.

Good to hear that you like it....

I love both of my Zanussi machines though if I win the lottery I'll be lining up outside V-Zug when they come Australia

Westinghouse's suspension is doing the 'tunk tunk tunk' noise so will have to get that sorted...I like the programmes too much on this machine to not at least service it once....

Hey Darren

Congrtas on your new machine!!

My mum recently got the same machine in White and she loves it (Not sure the state it will be in when I next are able to go back home as she does not look after her machines). It replaced my Miele that I gave her when I moved up here to bonny Scotland. She likes how it is much quieter and when she is on the phone to me and the machine is on I can hardly hear it compared to when the Miele was on.

Now I hope you are going to continue enjoying it as I know what you are like..After a few months you get bored and want a change!..lol. (Im the same though). It will be much better when you get your new shed with the machines plumbed in as you can go just go out back into the shed and pick which machine you want to use that day.

I hope you are family are well. Hows the House moving situation going?

Mark

Is the tumbling pattern consistant or does it changes from time to time to mix the load?

And happy washing!

Yep - just like the one i saw in Currys at the weekend.

A really smart looking machine - i much prefer it to the white version.

Your ZWF12070G1 looks fantastic, well done on buying a great looking machine.

(hope you don't expext it to last anywhere as long as your
FJ1033 but Im sure you dont need me telling you that!)

Hey guys thanks for the kind words!

i'll get round to some vids at the weekend.

CleanteamofNY: with the superquick option selected the tumbles are long with 2second pauses. The normal programme to have long tumbles with about 4 to 5 second pauses. Its an excellent machine from my favourite brand.

Betrum: Yea unfortunately it won't last as long as the fj1033. But prehaps it will serve me fairly well ;-) the lower spin will be in it's favor. And i will be using the synethic cycle alot as it's fantastic and has a 900rpm spin which is really good.

And i'm a sucker for its beautiful looks. Yea i'd have been happier with the white one,..but this looks much better!!

Darren

Hi Darren

Congratulations on your new purchase, I bet you are made up. I love these machines.

Last Thursday I took delivery of an Electrolux Inspire, Time Manager 1600rpm. They are not being made anymore and this was sold at £289 which was a brilliant price and brand new in packing. I am washing as I write and love the machine. It's very similar to my Jetsystem but the time manager is an added bonus. This one also has 50 degrees.

The only thing I don't like about these machines is the lack of spin selections. 1600 to 900 is a massive leap and I don't think 700 is slow enough. What do you think?

You can definately tell the difference between the Merloni (Aqualtis) and Electolux machines. Like you say no faffing.
I recently got my mother an Aqualtis Dryer. I'm not sure I would recommend it on noise alone but more about that in another thread.

Keep us updated and best wishes to your family.

Rob x

Hi Rob!!
How the devil are you! We've not spoken for abit! The cheek of it ;-)
OMG!I LOVE those machines! Has it replaced the aqualtis? Or just another in the line up!?

I do agree about the spin selection, mum's AEG has 1400, 1200, 900 700, 400 no spin.

Mine has 1200, 900, 700 & night wash and rinse hold.

I absalutely adore it unsurprizingly. I knew my favourite brand wouldn't let me down.

Cannot wait to see more of your elux. In the moment of madness before i bought the hotpoint all the time ago i was about one second away from buyin the elux then i thought "i'll try something different" Instead of sticking with what i knew best. Fool.

Really looking forward to hearing more of it!!

D

...mind you, we got the IZ machines until this year....which is what the Electrolux badged machines really are (Incanted drum) if you have a good look....

I'm with you there Darren....I wish my mother had listened to me rather than the man in the shop when she replaced her machine...

...still, I can't fault hers....and it does rinse very well
