Hello all, I cant find my old thread about my new appliances in my place BUT wanted to give you an update!
Washing Machine:
It is, in short awful. The washing performance really is bad, the rinsing is even worse. Spin is Ok, on 1000 RPM. It was a hot and cold fill machine, so i have modified it to cold only; the 60*C whites cycle was taking around 50 minutes - my white sheets and towels have lost their brightness. I have the "aquaplus" rinse on for every cycle too, simply because everything still feels "fuzzy" after the wash.

Dishwasher:
So, it has 8 cycles, and temps that range from 45*c up to 80*C. The 80*c wash is crap; its only the normal cycle, (one pre wash, one wash at 65*c, three cold rinses and then a 65*C drying rinse) that gives any sort of performance.

Hi Chris.

Good that you sorted the account lark out. Sorry i couldn't be much help, with pointing you to a specific name, but you're back up and running.

Bad that the newby machines arent to your liking.
Sell them on and get some classics in there!

Regards to you.
Paul

I bet you can't take them out and put your own in either? We're not meant to do that either but we plan on storing ours in my Mum's garage until the time comes when we need to put the original ones back.

It looks like an Electra/Servis circa early 90's.

The washer is a Servis (Antonio Merloni) and despite its early 90s looks this model was still manufactured until very recently.
Probably one the last machines produced still to have a mechanical timer. This is a bonus, as the electronics in other Servis washers are appalling.
I can't really comment on the performance, but I understand the design of the drum and shallow paddles don't help.

Tom.

Haier

Hi guys.

Well my Hotpint Aqualtis died. As some of you are aware I reversed into the door and made a right mess of it. Managed to get it working, but now the display keeps on saying, Door, and wont work.

Phoned Hotpoint up and they said that I was looking in the £200 to repair the machine. I thought I could go and buy a cheap and nasty machine for that, lol.

So went to comet, saw this Haier on special offer, yes for about £200. I deceided to buy, but thinking have a bought a pile of poo, lol.

Well, it was delivered, I plumbed it in, and quite impressed. The washing performance is very good. You have a Eco button, with settings. The Eco settings are how much water the machine takes in, 1.3, 1.2, 2.3, Full. I tried it on the cotton programme and on full, and the machine has deep rinses, well impressed.

I know these machines are not the build quality of Miele. I only use the spin on 600rpm, as I know the bearings wont be of a good quality, and also I have seperate spin dryer which spins 2800rpm.

Regards

Paul

No Soul

That machine just doent seem to have a soul! I look at it and it does nothing for me!

I hate rental places since you have to use the machines supplied, I think its actually better to find somewhere that does not have a machine installed!

Oh Paul I see your in Derby too! Small world!
