Help!!!!.....I have a 1951 Westinghouse Slant Front. The boot has a rip in it. I have already applied silicone to other rips in the boot but was wondering if I could replace the boot. Does any supply house carry a boot that might fit? Does anyone have any suggestions????

Thank you,
Ross Roberts

Try to use something from another machine. It may work as rubber is flexible. As for the exact fit. Perhaps someone else will see you post!

contact greg (gansky) and he can tell you the boot that you can use and rig for the repair.. it worked for me.. of course youll have to take the whole machine apart for the repair but you can do it.. either greg or i can talk you through it. trust me its fun ha ha

Hi Ross, you will be able to retrofit a newer WCI f/l washer boot onto this machine with some modification. I used one on my 1950 Westy Laundromat and it works very well. I have some pics of the process posted somewhere on Yahoo, I'll see if I can find them. It's true, the entire tub unit has to come out of the machine and be separated, but it's worth the work to save the washer.
