Someone REALLY took care of this machine.....there's not a scratch on it........ANYWHERE. I swear it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line! |

What a beauty! She came off the assembly line on May of 1970. The porcelain and firing technique used on the drums of these upper and TOL models are bullet proof. You can run them HARD for YEARS and they still look new. Kind of like the exterior cabinets of GM Frigidaire's. Lube up all of the wearing points with turbine oil and it'll be almost dead silent for many decades to come! |

I overlooked the piece I blabbed about; it was clearly present in the pic below the "label". The spring goes where I stated, I believe it facilitates snug fitting of the "waffle" retainer piece. |

The spring, BTW, does not go between the parts but rather holds/locks the mesh filter on the shaft of the holder. |
