This is quite new. It came out of a house that had a fire. Looks perfect, have not tested it yet though.

ms. This machine is quite heavy, and the filter and drain mechanism appears to be quite good.

Gaggenau

Sister brand to Bosch, Siemens and Neff.

Gaggenau is supposed to be the 'arty-farty' top line, posh brand. And they tend to be based more on integrated appliances, whereas Bosch and Siemens are substantially geared towards freestanding models.

Are there two dials on the control panel? - can't really tell due to reflections.

This is not a realy new model, this one still has the pipe in the center of the upper rack which feeds the spray arm under the top rack. In newer machines that spray arms gets it's water from the back of the tub.

Thanks for the photos

The interior looks not unlike one my brother and his wife had inherited: it turned out to be around 18 years old!

The heater element runs along the bottom of the wash tank in this machine. Be very wary of putting thermoplastics in the bottom basket; in fact be wary of putting light-weight plastics at all in this machine - sometimes the spray blows them away, down to the bottom of the machine, where they can melt.

May your machine have a long and happy life!
