Well the Atlantis has decided it no longer likes hot water. It starts to leak while is it filling, must be the tub seal, the wierd thing is it pretty much will stop leaking after it starts running awhile, but it is not a small leak. The water comes from around the metal support where the plastic tub it bolted to the support. Fixed up a maytag A8420 but not impressed at all. Way smaller capacity, sudslockA easily, and barely reaches full spin speed before it stops to rinse. ( have new belts on it).
Anyways, back to the Atlantis, any advise as to replacing the seals? Do you really need that expensive wrench to get the job done? It has been a ok washer, it is on it's second timer and could use another one. The first timer would stop at the beginning of the regular cycle and would wash forever. Was under warranty at the time, the repair guy from Best Buy wasn't convinced but put another one on anyway. This one will stop on the 2nd rinse and not go into the spin. The automatic temp control doesn't work right anymore but that isn't a big deal. What would you do? I have a Calypso that runs pretty well, but like having 2 washers. Fix or find another one?

If it's the plastic tub that has a crack, wouldn't an epoxy for plastic seal the crack?

I would search for where the leak is really coming from....could be an easy fix...

but otherwise if it needs another timer, maybe it's seen better days....keep us posted....
