As Darren said its a crying shame the name of what was once pretty much the only 100% British laundry brand was ever put on these pieces of cr@p....

Its a pity people lost their jobs etc tho :(

Hello!

My Auntie used to have a silver Servis washerdryer 900.I dont know the model or why it was broke. It was replaced by a Hotpoint aquarius. It was an alright washer with good programmes.I used it a few times.

I have also used an Ardo machine in malta. It had 1000rpm spin.I remember battling for it to do a slow spin only programme,it always went into fast spin for some reason. You
had the get the pointer just at the right point lol.

One of my dads friends used to have a classic Hotpoint!Alas,it was replaced by a Servis 1100rpm M(something).I dont remember the Hotpoint much though.

I quite liked the drums in Servis washers but the last range of Servis drums were boring but had better cleaning performance. The slightly older drums were good but cleaning was awful with a small load.

I agree with most people on here the new servis are absoultley rubbish, was unaware they were not making anymore, i haved repaired quite a few newish models and i have noticed on nearlly all of them the door gaskets were covered in mould. have a feeling its due to the low level rinses not cleaning the soap of the seal etc, and its just a shame that servis were once a really well built machine with a good rep but sadly all new machines seem to be going in this direction
